Who better to galvanise a room than Edward Bridger-Stille, not only an experienced auctioneer but someone who has gone through the mill and come out of the other side. Paralysed from the chest down, Edward has a keen sense of humour, can write well and is able to encourage a tremendous response in a room thus raising the charity's profile as well as bringing his knowledge and wit to the auction on the night.

More recently, he said a new record for Future Hope, an Indian-based charity caring for disadvantaged young children living on the streets. The organisers were delighted and the results went a long way to ensure that children did not go to sleep, hungry that night.

This was demonstrated with Aerobility in 2019, a charity he has close ties with as he is currently learning to fly. During their fundraising gala in December of that year, he jointly raised over £101,000, a record for Aerobility.

Edward also co-founded Historics Auctioneers and within 12 years, established a leading auction house holding five auctions a year developing a turnover of over £7m/year and presenting over 160 cars per sale. An enviable reputation given the economic issues at play at the time and in an extremely competitive industry. The companies reputation is truly international.
